Looking at a map, one can locate the geographical space that is defined as the United States of America.  In real life, however, the concept of the 'land of liberty' and 'democracy' and the like does not exist.  If the word 'hoax' applies anywhere, it most definitely is applicable in describing this country of supposed 'freedoms'.  Examples abound:
Kansas City resident Sattar Ali, an Iraqi-American doctoral student, was arrested along with his family after Ali attempted to deposit a large check from the sale of their home.   Ali, who moved to the United States in 1993, took a check for $151,000 from the sale of his family’s old house in Michigan to Wichita’s Emprise Bank. ...he brought verification documents along with him, but a few minutes after he presented tellers with the check, he was in handcuffs.

After being taken outside, Ali discovered his wife Hadil and their 15-year-old daughter Hawra were in the backseat of the police car waiting for him. Sometime during their three-hour detainment, Ali said police called his 11-year-old son’s school to tell them to hold him because his parents had been arrested.

He said he didn’t discover until after they were released that he and his family had been arrested because the bank claimed they could not verify the large check and believed it was fraudulent.  “No one told me why I was being arrested until we were being released.  They didn’t read me rights or anything.”

...he believes he and his family were racially profiled because the large check came from someone with his name and not someone named “James or Robert.   Let’s assume I made a mistake and gave them a bad check,” Ali said. “Why would they arrest my wife and daughter?”

yes, why indeed? - and right here in America.

As we survey the world, claiming to spread freedom and democracy, and claiming to enhance security at home, almost nothing is going according to our plan.  With our 'police state' mentality, liberty has all but disappeared here at in our own country.   And, our overseas actions have created a generation of enemies out of the rubble of our aggression.  Essentially, we have created the enemy and we have armed the enemy to fight against us.  It is almost as if we have done these things intentionally, but upon examination, we can see that it can be attributed to our incompetence... arrogant and incompetent.
The idea of a superpower conjures up many thoughts in one's mind.  Competence would seem to automatically be a part of being a 'superpower'.  But, recently, our navy is proving to be a greater threat to itself than is the enemy.  Just this year, we've had major incidents of self-destruction.  Our sophisticated, speedy, modern war ships are colliding with slow-moving commercial ships resulting in a disastrous loss of lives.  It is not like we were out there ramming these other ships intentionally.  It's just that... well, we areshowing the Chinese who is the boss in the South China Seas with our recklessness.
The USS John S. McCain,  a guided-missile destroyer, collided with an oil tanker east of the busy Straits of Malacca and Singapore.
Earlier, the destroyer USS Fitzgerald was badly damaged in a collision with a container ship.
Also this year, a South Korean fishing boat struck the USS Lake Champlain, a 568-foot Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser, while the Navy warship was 'conducting operations' in international waters near the Korean Peninsula.
At the beginning of the year, the guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam ran aground while trying to anchor in Tokyo Bay.
The Chinese, observing our history and watching these incidents, probably think that they can just stand back as watch as we destroy ourselves.

In the latest in a series of bad moves against Russia, the Justice Department has ordered Russia’s RT television news network to register as a “foreign agent”.   The Foreign Agent Registration Act was meant to target foreign lobbyists and politicians.  History doesn't support requiring journalistic organizations to register as foreign agents.

The Voice of America is identical to RT.   Will Russia now treat Voice of America the same way?   And, when (if) they do, what is our next move?  Have we considered a 'next move'?  In a chess game, one must plan 4 or 5 or 6 moves ahead, or farther.  If I move here and they move there, and if my next move is over here...
The Syrian rebels attacking the US troops are the same rebel forces that the US was directly arming through CIA arms smuggling operations for years.  This puts a final exclamation point on what a bad idea the CIA arms program turned out to be, as not only did it not accomplish the regime change goals of the time, it’s armed up rebel factions that are now eager to fight US troops.
We give the appearance of having no idea about what we are doing.   We seem to not understand our own goals and it is obvious to the world that we have no plans for accomplishing even a small portion of those mis-identified goals.  We stumble (crash) around the globe completely in a fog.

Our military is everywhere in the world, fighting every 'enemy'.  We are crushing dreams of freedom and democracy overseas with our 'regime change' of elected officials.  Our domestic military (police) crushes our sweetest dreams here at home.  We just can't seem to find our way.  If we could actually see and understand, we'd recognize that it is we ourselves who are our worse enemy, both here and there, and that's the truth !!!
