Christianson Jr. There's no way to spin around the truth.  Facts are facts.  In a democracy, Bernie would have represented the Democratic party in the presidential election and almost certainly would have won -against Donald Trump- and would have become president.  All of the evidence serves to prove this conclusion. The Democratic primary process was rigged against Bernie all along, and we all knew it, right from the beginning.   And, we must remember that the Republican party itself didn't want Trump.  When we finally got to the election, the 'people' really disliked both candidates and the real contest (aside from the electoral college) was to determine who the voters disliked the least. The people of this country pretend to certain ideals and certain goals, but at the same time, are completely accepting of anything less.  Partly, that is because we are all struggling within a rigged economy that has betrayed us.  For the average worker to support a family requires 2 jobs whereas a or two generation ago, 1 job would have sufficed.  Partly that is because we have allowed the wealthy elite to keep us divided along so many lines we cannot keep track of them all.  We identify racially, sexually, economically, professionally, and many more.  Even within the 'identity groups' we have sub-groups with which we identify.  The 'economic' division, for example has lots of individual measurements so that 'poor' doesn't cover very many people even when most people are in fact 'poor'. We are not able to understand what is in our own best interests and work toward that goal.  Instead, we are constantly competing with the 'others' and working more to defeat them than to advance ourselves.  We seem to believe that 'their loss' is 'our gain' instead of recognizing that to achieve any progress we must come together for our common benefit. Ultimately we defeated ourselves and got president Trump who actually represents the overall character of this country better than we want to admit.  We can attribute a lot of this to party politics.  We can attribute most of it to ourselves.  We got what we deserve... and that's the truth !!! Donna Brazile has revealed that the Clintons basically bought full control of the DNC, with control over key appointments and decisions. Ryan Grim, of the Intercept sent out this analysis: "The party organization was still deeply in debt from the 2012 campaign, owing millions to banks and to vendors, burning through what little cash it had at a stunning rate of some three to four million per month. One senior party official told me that by August 2015 it was becoming unable to make payroll and approaching the equivalent of bankruptcy." And so it sold itself secretly to the only bidder. In exchange for bailing it out, the Clinton campaign effectively took it over, according to Donna Brazile, who would later take the organization over. "The agreement--signed by Amy Dacey, the former CEO of the DNC, and Robby Mook with a copy to Marc Elias--specified that in exchange for raising money and investing in the DNC, Hillary would control the party's finances, strategy, and all the money raised. Her campaign had the right of refusal of who would be the party communications director, and it would make final decisions on all the other staff," Brazile writes in an explosive excerpt of her book, published Thursday in Politico. 'The DNC also was required to consult with the campaign about all other staffing, budgeting, data, analytics, and mailings.' It's also been made clear that the Clintons, using their control of the DNC, siphoned off most of the money raised at the state level, starving state level campaigns. And of course, Clinton, the most disliked Democrat in modern history, had no coat-tails to help down-ticket candidates. The world has been reeling since Trump was inaugurated and the Republicans controlled both the House and the senate. Now it is one hundred percent clear that this was totally the fault of out of control, corrupted, degenerate Democratic leaders. To be clear, this means that Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Harry Reid are responsible for the US having the worse president in US history. They are responsible for the US being on the brink of Nuclear war. They are responsible for Republicans being in the position to cut $500 billion from Medicare. ​They are not alone. There were many more Democratic insiders at national and state levels who knew about and abetted the crime against Democracy the Clintons and the DNC perpetrated. This was a total top down betrayal of trust, obligation and responsibility. There is no way to rehabilitate the people who did this. They should, every one of them, be drummed out of office and the DNC must be completely dismantled and replaced, with totally new leadership. The first test should be the response that current Democratic leaders and elected officials have to the Brazile's revelations. It should start with the leaders who were part of allowing this to happen should all offer their resignations as party officials. ​ There must be a Bottom up, grass roots uprising that creates a separate organization to replace the DNC. It should include commitments by millions of voters to NOT give a penny to the DNC or to candidates who are found to have played a role in the Clinton purchase of the DNC.
